“The Chronicles of Narnia” review

C.S. Lewis’ “The chronicles of Narnia” are seven spectacular stories that entwine themselves into many children’s hearts. Polly and Diggory are neighbours and are the first children to venture into the magical land Narnia. The evacuee’s from the second world war (the Pevensie children)are the next to fight for Narnia. Eustace (The Pevensie’s cousin) leads his friend Jill into Narnia.
Narnia is a land of magic and mystery where every day brings new life and wonder. Aslan, the great lion, is feared and respected by all his loyal subjects. Even The WhiteWitch, Jadis, fears that he will mess with her plans to take the throne of Narnia. The books follow the theme of kindness and good over evil. The best part was when Aslan triumphs over the Witch, though once she kidnapped Edmund , one of Pevensie’s, and held him hostage.
I recommend these books to be read by children aged 7 and on, with an adventurous taste in literature, and a liking for magic.
